Appliance warranty tracker: organise your records

Keep purchase dates, warranty terms and claim details together before you need them.

Example: prepare a warranty record

For a new dishwasher, keep the receipt with the item and record the warranty provider, reference and start and end dates stated in the paperwork. Add any registration confirmation and a note pointing to exclusions. Review upcoming expiry dates in the app, and use the provider’s current contact details when asking about a fault. The record organises evidence; it does not decide whether a claim is covered.

Find the actual terms

Record the provider, start date and end date from your paperwork. A purchase date alone may not identify the start of a warranty. Keep any registration confirmation and note conditions or exclusions from the provider.

Keep identifiers readable

Record the model and serial number carefully. Save the receipt and the warranty document against the relevant item. A manufacturer support link can help you find current contact details later.

Review upcoming dates

Use the 30, 60 or 90-day warranty view to see recorded warranties approaching their end. Expiry reminders do not determine legal rights, eligibility or whether a repair will be covered.

Prepare before contacting support

Have the model, serial number, proof of purchase and a clear description of the fault available. Follow provider safety instructions and avoid continuing to use equipment that appears unsafe.

Appliance warranty record checklist

  • Match the record to the exact appliance model and serial number.
  • Keep the readable purchase receipt and the provider’s warranty terms.
  • Copy the actual provider, reference, start date and end date from the paperwork.
  • Attach any registration confirmation and note where to find conditions or exclusions.
  • Before contacting support, gather the identifiers, purchase evidence and a description of the fault.

Is a saved warranty date enough to establish coverage?

No. The date is a useful reminder, but coverage depends on the actual terms and circumstances. Keep the provider’s paperwork with the item and ask the provider to confirm the position when needed.
